Welcome to Whisper Mountain, a place where living harmoniously with nature is what living is all about. Here you will discover hundreds of acres of natural amenities, from spring fed creeks to pristine valleys. Homesites soar at elevations of up to 3800 ft, each one created with full environmental integrity. Our adherence to a green agenda in all aspects of planning will encourage a higher quality of life for both humanity and our natural surroundings. We've developed this place in a way that reveres both our natural environment and the history of the area. The preservation of this land and its history makes Whisper Mountain the unique community that it is now and will be for generations to come.
Dedicated to preservation and cultural heritage, the Whisper Mountain community offers educational experiences that bring our property owners closer to the environment, health and the arts. With rich resources, artisans and local story tellers, we are able to explore the abundance of the mountains and their eclectic history.
Beside a campfire in one of our many parks enjoy a conversation with the former curator of the Oxbow Educational Center at the University of Georgia. He'll share information on the myriad of plants found in our meadows and along our creeks. If you're lucky you'll get a chance to see one of our resident red tailed hawks or find a salamander in one of our creeks.
Often, one or more, of the Whisper Seven, Plein Air artists can be found scattered along the trails or ridge tops, capturing for perpetuity on canvas the stunning beauty found in our community. Their work can be seen at Sky Valley Lodge.
The history of moonshine making, apple harvesting, and ginseng hunting are often fireside conversations, at our historic Tent Camp or on the terrace at the community lodge during a heritage event. Never far from nature, our residents can pick apples or plant a garden in our historic garden location, just steps away from an early tobacco barn.
With miles of hiking trails, cool fresh air, and natural elevation changes, exploring at Whisper Mountain is good for the heart and soul for all those that care to live healthy, and to live green.
